About the Designer - Camilla Laub
Camilla Laub, based in Denmark, has 30 years of experience in the creative industry. She has always loved coloring and being creative as far back as she remembers. Most kids draw, but she just kept going. Finishing high school, she drew non-stop to advance for the entrance exam of one of her country's finest design schools.
She graduated as a graphic designer in 1996 from the Design School in Kolding. It's a 5-year design education, and she has a master's degree from the Institute of Visual Communications.
Since then, she has worked at 3 large Danish advertising agencies, as Art Director creating adverts, design platforms, logos etc. When her three sons went to preschool, she quit her day job and started her own freelance company to balance family life with her design passion.
She is a big fan of Adobe©, as their design programs have been her tools of choice throughout her working life. Whether she uses a Wacom Pen, a pencil or a brush in the process of reaching the final outcome however is secondary. She enjoys working both with original drawing skills and modern technology. These days she works mostly in Adobe Illustrator© while creating bright, clear colors in cheerful designs, as she in recent years has been working with repeat patterns. She enjoys making highly complex designs with a lot of details for the observer to explore.
