Represent Aviation for Girls in our Design Contest!

Show us your love of aviation by designing fashion that features it! Represent Aviation for Girls by sharing your dream or journey to join the aviation and aerospace industry.

Princess Awesome is so proud to partner with Women in Aviation International to sponsor a design contest during the summer of 2023. We are looking for your awesome ideas for new clothing that features airplanes, helicopters, engineering concepts, schematics - anything that has to do with aviation!

The winner will receive:

• a one-hour consultation with the founders of Princess Awesome and WAI staff,
• $150 store credit to Princess Awesome
• Their work featured in Aviation for Girls Magazine
• And - your design could become part of Princess Awesome's product line!

Rules of Entry:

• Designers must be 8-18 years old by the contest deadline.
• Designers must be junior members of Women in Aviation International - membership is free and you can register on the WAI website.
• Designers must submit a signed copy of our photo release with their entry. 
• Designs must be submitted as PDF, JPG, PNG, or AI files by August 31, 2023 at 11:50 pm EST via email to AFGcontests@wai.org.

Design Requirements:

• Designs must incorporate aviation themes or concepts
• There are no limits on what the design can be - designers may create a textile repeat, single graphic design, creatively use fabric to represent aviation themes, or come up with any other clothing design that features aviation.
• Designers may use our tech flat templates provided below or draw their own concept.
