  • About the Designer - Linda Aristizabal

    March 28, 2023 1 min read

Originally from Bogota, Colombia, Linda has six years of experience working in textiles for fashion as well as home and interiors. She currently works at Danica Brands full time as a surface designer and continues to creates fun patterns for licensing and Spoonflower in her spare time. You can check out her work here:

What themes or topics spark (what you feel to be) your best work?
I love fantasy, magic, adventure and folklore! Basically anything that sparks imagination (Hence the name of my brand is Lost in Wonderland).

How do you work? Digitally? On paper? AI/iPad with AI or sketchpad?
Since I work in house i have to be able to use many types of media. Be it digital like Illustrator, Photoshop and Procreate, as well as traditional such as watercolour, gauche and colour pencils!

How much of your work actually makes it to publication?
In my personal work I have control over what goes to publication but on my client work I would say 30% of projects get rejected. Sometimes it can be something completely out of my control such as the client has gone in a new direction that season. It would hurt at the beginning of my career but with experience you learn that creativity has no limit and often the new projects that come after look so much better you hardly miss those from the past.
