Fabric Printing Round 1 = SUCCESS!

We printed our first fabrics today!  We printed our first fabrics today!  We printed our first fabrics today!  

It was a long, difficult road to get here, but we did it!  We only printed a couple dozen yards for the first run of sample dresses, but now we know that we can and it will work and everything is good.

We have to give a BIG, HUGE, GIGANTIC thanks to our friend, Khanisha, who went to the factory today to make sure that the design printed out correctly and that the colors looked right.  She had a day off from her busy schedule of making the world a better place through theatre, poetry, storytelling, and working with young people, and she brought her two year old daughter along with her.

Once the Pi fabric was set, she sent this picture with the caption, "Already making little girls happy."

I literally jumped up and down when I saw it.  Making big girls happy, too!
