About the Designer - Kristen Knechtel

by Eva St. Clair March 27, 2023 1 min read

Designer Kristen Knechtel is a Canadian mom of 3 who loves animals, the forest, and all things whimsical. She generally works with digital block print and traditional watercolour (yes, with paper and paint!), creating patterns that depict anything and everything whimsical! She loves fairy tale creatures and magical forests. One of her favorite projects was a Heihei valentine that is part of the Minted x Disney partnership.

Kristen beautifully depicted vitamin molecules arranged as constellations in a starry sky, featured as our "Nutrient Nebula" Lounge Pants

You can find fabric, wallpaper, and gift wrap with Kristen's work on the awesome print-on-demand site Spoonflower, as well as checking out her incredible illustrative talents on her Instagram profile.

My name is Julie, and I’m [X] years old. I live far enough from Montréal, Canada to have wild bunnies in my backyard, but close enough to go to museums. I’m married to a loving and caring geek who makes wonderful coffee lattes.

I loooooove science and space, always was the artsy one in science and the science-y one in arts at school. I follow James-Webb as much as the weathercast news!
